Thoughts on Leaving Academia for a Job in Software Development

Today is the three year anniversary since I left academia, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to share my experiences. In this post I will talk about reasons why I left, what it’s like to work at a software-based startup, and hopefully give some insights for others considering a similar transition.
